The atmosphere was charged with expectation as thousands gathered for HopeUC Gathering 2026, Hope Unlimited Church's annual conference designed to inspire believers to encounter God, deepen their faith, and be equipped for mission in their everyday lives.
Held on Australia's Central Coast, HopeUC Gathering brings together church members, ministry leaders, worshippers, and guests from across Australia and around the world for several days of worship, prayer, biblical teaching, ministry, and fellowship. More than simply a conference, Gathering serves as a spiritual rallying point for the HopeUC family, emphasizing revival, discipleship, evangelism, and the transforming presence of God.
The momentum of the conference continued into Sunday's worship service as special guests Chase and Lindy Kofahl joined the HopeUC community alongside Dustin Smith from HopeUC Nashville. The morning featured extended worship, communion, prayer ministry, and a message centered on faith and breakthrough.
Throughout the service, worshippers were encouraged to lift their eyes above life's challenges and focus on Jesus. Songs declaring revival, freedom, healing, and the power of Christ filled the auditorium as the congregation responded with passionate praise and prayer.
A significant moment came during communion as believers were reminded of Christ's finished work on the cross. Participants exchanged communion elements with one another while declaring, "It is finished," emphasizing both the unity of the body of Christ and the victory secured through Jesus' death and resurrection.
The service also reflected the conference's broader emphasis on revival. Congregants prayed for healing, provision, restoration, employment, housing needs, and renewed faith. Leaders encouraged attendees to minister to one another, reinforcing HopeUC's commitment to cultivating a church community where every believer participates in caring for and strengthening others.
Prior to introducing guest speaker Chase Kofahl, church leaders reflected on Isaiah 60, reminding the congregation that God's light remains constant even when circumstances appear uncertain. They encouraged worshippers to trust in God's promises and His timing, emphasizing that the Lord remains sovereign and faithful through every season of life.
Kofahl, a leader with the international Circuit Riders movement, delivered a message from 1 Samuel 14, focusing on Jonathan's courageous faith in the face of overwhelming odds. Drawing from Hebrews 11:6, he challenged believers to embrace a lifestyle of faith, noting that "without faith it is impossible to please God."
Sharing personal stories of God's faithfulness, Kofahl recounted how he and his wife Lindy discovered they were expecting their daughter Brightly while visiting the Central Coast several years ago. Returning to HopeUC Gathering with their daughter on her second birthday served as a powerful reminder of God's ability to fulfill His promises.
He also reflected on the early days of Circuit Riders, describing how a small group of young believers stepped out in faith to reach university students with the Gospel. What began as a simple vision has since grown into a global movement impacting campuses across multiple continents. Through these stories, Kofahl encouraged attendees to trust God for breakthrough even when circumstances appear impossible.
"God is a God of breakthrough," Kofahl declared. "Sometimes He's simply looking for people willing to believe Him and take radical steps of obedience."
The message resonated strongly with the themes of HopeUC Gathering 2026. Throughout the conference, speakers and worship leaders consistently pointed participants toward a greater expectation for what God can do through surrendered lives marked by faith, prayer, and obedience.
As the service concluded, attendees were left with a renewed sense of purpose and expectation. The recurring message of the weekend was clear: God is still moving, revival remains possible, and ordinary believers can play an extraordinary role in His plans when they respond in faith.
For HopeUC, Gathering 2026 was more than a conference. It was a reminder that God continues to call His church to worship passionately, believe boldly, and carry the hope of Jesus into every sphere of society.
