Popular British YouTuber Joe Weller has publicly revealed that he has become a Christian, sharing an emotional testimony in which he credited Jesus Christ with rescuing him during one of the darkest seasons of his life.
The 30-year-old internet personality, who has amassed more than 5.3 million subscribers on YouTube and millions more followers across social media platforms, announced his newfound faith through a series of heartfelt videos posted on Instagram. In the videos, Weller described how years of searching for fulfillment through success, fame, travel, health, and spirituality ultimately left him empty until he encountered Christ.
"Hey, I just want to say that I have been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me," Weller told followers. "Never, never did I think I'd be saying those words."
Known for his comedy sketches, music content, and boxing-related videos, Weller admitted that he once viewed Christianity with skepticism. However, he said his perspective changed after experiencing a personal transformation he believes came through faith in Jesus.
"I have tried everything, everything to try and feel genuinely fulfilled and at peace," he said. "Spirituality, diet, travel, here, there, everywhere, work, fame, money. I have tried everything that seems like it could work for me."
According to Weller, it was during a period of deep personal struggle that he finally turned to God.
"He never ever gave up," Weller said. "He never gave up when I was at rock bottom, and he was the only place left to turn."
The social media star described his conversion as life-changing, saying Christ had renewed his mind and given him a peace he had been unable to find elsewhere.
"He has genuinely transformed me. He has renewed my mind. He is the truth, the way, the life that we are all searching for, and I'm just so thankful and grateful that he never gave up on me."
In a second video, Weller became visibly emotional while encouraging viewers facing anxiety, addiction, depression, or other personal battles to seek help through faith in Jesus.
"Whatever it is that you're battling, absolutely, there is a way out, and it is found in turning to Jesus Christ," he said. "And if you don't know how to pray, if you don't know where to start, just start by asking him to reveal himself to you."
Weller urged followers not to wait until they have their lives together before approaching God.
"It's not about coming perfectly," he explained. "Come as you are. Turn to him exactly as you are."
The influencer also reflected on what he sees as a growing tendency among people to seek fulfillment through temporary pleasures while overlooking the spiritual answers they are truly searching for.
"Come home," he said. "Turn away from the enemy, turn away from all the things that you know don't really serve you."
While acknowledging that faith can be confusing and challenging at first, Weller encouraged viewers to remain patient and trust the process.
"It may take time, and it may be a process, and it may be very confusing at first," he said. "Walk in faith, not by sight, and you will not regret it."
In a follow-up video, Weller addressed the strong reaction his testimony had generated online and revealed that a longer YouTube video detailing his full conversion story is currently in the works.
"Those tears, they are from a place of utter deep joy, but also pain," he said. "I'd love to just shake everyone and be like, 'This is what you're looking for.'"
The British content creator joins a growing list of high-profile online personalities who have recently spoken publicly about Christianity and faith. With millions of followers watching his journey unfold, Weller's testimony is already resonating across social media, where many users have praised his openness and willingness to discuss his spiritual transformation.
As anticipation builds for his upcoming long-form video, Weller says he is trusting God to guide him as he shares more details of the journey that led him to faith.
"There is a longer form YouTube video coming out very soon, where I go into everything, everything," he said. "So buzzing to put that out."
