"Love Never Fails" just became The Choir Room's first true radio hit, and it didn't settle for the top of just one chart.
The title track from the group's Centricity Music debut album, featuring gospel legend Fred Hammond, has simultaneously claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart and the Mediabase Gospel chart.
It's the first radio single The Choir Room has ever released, making the double chart-topping debut an especially significant milestone for the Nashville-based collective.
The Choir Room is led by three-time Grammy and two-time Dove Award-winning songwriter and producer Dwan Hill, who founded the group in 2022 as a uniquely communal worship experience: rather than performing on a stage, the band sets up on the floor while the audience gathers in a circle around them, joining their voices together in harmony.
That same live, congregational energy is woven into "Love Never Fails," which was recorded during the group's tour and opens their 11-song sophomore album of the same name.
Hammond, who has spent decades as one of gospel music's most respected voices, credited the song's success to something bigger than radio numbers. "This achievement is a testament to God's faithfulness, the power of unity in worship, and the amazing support of radio, fans and everyone who embraced this song," he said.
The momentum doesn't stop at the charts. The Choir Room recently announced it will bring its signature gathering to Carnegie Hall on Feb. 21, 2027, with Hammond and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood joining Hill for the historic concert hall debut.
For a project built around the idea of ordinary voices joining together in worship, topping two charts at once is a fitting reminder: when God's people sing in unity, the song tends to travel further than anyone expected.
