KATSEYE is having a big week - and they're doing it with grace.
The global girl group graces the cover of Allure magazine, one of their most high-profile editorial features to date.
And inside the pages, leader Sophia Laforteza gave fans the most direct update yet on member Manon Bannerman's ongoing hiatus - four months after HYBE x Geffen first announced she would temporarily step back.
"Because we did announce that it is about her well-being, it's not our place or anybody else's place to rush her," Sophia told the publication. "We love her and the fans love her. The people love her. They love KATSEYE."
Notably, Allure reported that KATSEYE continues to refer to itself as a six-member group - the members still speak about Manon as part of the team, even as no confirmed timetable for her return has been given.
Sophia also spoke candidly about how difficult the season has been for the group itself. "It's hard to keep going with something that was built with all 6 girls, we really went through a lot," she said. "I can confirm that she is still on hiatus, and we want the fans to know that Manon loves you all so much."
For fans who have been anxious for news, it's a message that asks for patience - and models something worth noticing.
In an industry that rarely slows down, KATSEYE is choosing to put their member's wellbeing above any timeline or pressure to move on.
Meanwhile, the group is pressing forward. Their upcoming EP WILD is set for release on August 14, and their sold-out WILDWORLD Tour will take them across North America and Europe later this year.
Whether Manon returns for that chapter or not, one thing is clear from Sophia's words: she is still loved, she is still counted, and her seat in this group isn't going anywhere.
