ELEVATION RHYTHM is celebrating a major career milestone after its hit single "WASHED" reached No. 1 across Christian radio, giving the worship collective its first chart-topping success on both the Billboard and Mediabase charts.
The song now leads Billboard's Christian Airplay, Christian AC Airplay, and Hot Christian Songs charts after previously claiming the top spot on Mediabase's Christian AC and Christian Audience (Impressions) charts. "WASHED" also continues to gain momentum online, remaining in the Top 20 on SongSelect while surpassing 14 million YouTube views.
The achievement marks ELEVATION RHYTHM's first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart and surpasses the success of its 2024 breakout hit "GOODBYE YESTERDAY," which peaked at No. 5.
Reflecting on the accomplishment, Josh Holiday told Billboard that the group never set out to chase chart success.
"We began as a family of young people who loved Jesus, loved the Church and wanted to use what was in our hands to serve people," Holiday said. "To see these songs travel beyond the rooms where they were first written is humbling."
The milestone comes just days before the release of ELEVATION RHYTHM's new live album, WASHED, arriving July 17. Named after the No. 1 single, the project aims to capture a generation pursuing hope, freedom, and an authentic relationship with Jesus.
The collective is also preparing to launch the WASHED Tour, a multi-day event that will feature community activities such as RHYTHM Run Clubs and Bible studies before culminating in two nights of worship in each tour city.
As the youth expression of Elevation Church, ELEVATION RHYTHM continues to create worship music designed to connect with the next generation through faith-filled lyrics and contemporary sounds.
