Andrew and Tristan Tate's legal troubles have taken another dramatic turn.
The controversial influencer brothers are now facing a fresh wave of rape, sex trafficking, assault, child sexual abuse material, and extreme pornography charges after British prosecutors announced new allegations involving four additional alleged victims.
The new charges were unveiled as the brothers appeared in federal court in Miami following their weekend arrest by U.S. Marshals. The pair are currently being held in a federal detention center while authorities consider a British extradition request that could send them back to the United Kingdom to stand trial.
According to the U.K.'s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the latest evidence significantly expands the case against the brothers, bringing the total number of alleged victims to seven.
Andrew Tate, 39, now faces:
- Seven additional counts of rape
- Three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking
- Three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm
- Nineteen further charges related to alleged child sexual abuse material and extreme pornography
His younger brother, Tristan Tate, 38, faces:
- Two additional rape charges
- One sexual assault charge
- Three counts of arranging or facilitating sex trafficking
The allegations reportedly span incidents between 2010 and 2017.
Despite the mounting accusations, the brothers continue to deny wrongdoing.
Attorney Joseph McBride, who represents the Tates, claimed the brothers are being held in solitary confinement and accused British authorities of politically targeting his clients because they exercised their free speech rights.
Meanwhile, anti-exploitation advocates welcomed the arrests.
The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) praised U.S. and U.K. authorities for continuing to pursue the case, saying the latest developments provide greater protection for alleged victims who have faced years of harassment and intimidation.
The Tate brothers first rose to global fame through their viral social media content promoting wealth, masculinity, and controversial views on women. They have spent years fighting multiple criminal investigations in Romania and Britain over allegations of human trafficking and sexual offenses, all of which they have consistently denied.
Now, with new evidence emerging, additional alleged victims identified, and extradition proceedings underway, one of the internet's most polarizing figures finds himself confronting the most serious legal challenge yet.
