Hannah Harper's husband didn't just support her music career from the sidelines - he walked away from an eight-year law enforcement job to make it happen full-time.
The American Idol Season 24 winner told Fox News Digital that her husband, Devon Mendenhall, left his career behind to become her tour manager as she launches her first national headlining tour. "My husband was in law enforcement for eight years and put his badge up just so that I could pursue this," Harper said.
Harper, a Missouri native and mother of three, said the transition hasn't been without growing pains, but it has deepened their marriage. "It has definitely strengthened our marriage in ways that I didn't even know those muscles worked, if that makes sense," she said.
The tour comes on the heels of Harper's viral rise. Her original song "String Cheese," written during her battle with postpartum depression, propelled her to the Idol title in May. Since then, she's made her Grand Ole Opry debut alongside Carrie Underwood and landed a brand partnership with Sargento, which is now sponsoring her tour bus.
