As the Christian community continues to respond to the tragic mass shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, Pastor Greg Laurie is urging believers to do what he says matters most in moments like these: pray.
The Harvest Christian Fellowship pastor took to social media following Saturday's deadly attack, asking Christians around the world to intercede for the victims, their families, and the shaken community still grappling with the tragedy.
"So saddened to hear about the horrific shooting at the @innoutburger in Twin Falls, Idaho," Laurie wrote on X. "Current reports indicate that three people were killed and seven others were wounded, with some of the injured in critical condition."
The shooting unfolded Saturday afternoon when a 24-year-old gunman opened fire in and around the popular restaurant, leaving three people dead and seven others injured before later dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a confrontation with law enforcement.
Rather than speculate about the investigation, Laurie focused on the human toll.
"Please join me in praying that the God of all comfort will be especially near to the families who have lost loved ones, and that He will bring healing and strength to those who were injured," he wrote.
Laurie also highlighted In-N-Out's longstanding Christian identity, noting that the California-based fast-food chain has consistently been open about its faith through Bible verse references printed on its packaging and the public witness of its leadership.
"There are reports that a courageous armed citizen returned fire during the attack, but officials are still working to confirm all the details," Laurie wrote. "In-N-Out is a Christian-owned company that has never been shy about honoring the Lord."
He concluded by expressing gratitude for the company's public faith while extending prayers beyond the victims themselves.
"We are grateful for their faithful witness and are praying for their employees, customers, and the entire Twin Falls community during this heartbreaking time."
Laurie's comments came shortly after In-N-Out President Lynsi Snyder issued her own emotional statement, encouraging people not to respond with hatred but to seek God in the midst of unimaginable grief.
"I love you all, and I ask you to turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting," Snyder said. "We will stand together, and we will do everything we can to learn from this situation."
The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of prayer across the Christian community, with church leaders and believers alike asking God to bring comfort to grieving families, healing to the wounded, and peace to a community forever changed by violence.
While investigators continue working to determine what led to the attack, voices like Laurie's and Snyder's are pointing people toward faith, reminding Christians that even in the darkest moments, God remains "the God of all comfort."
