Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham says his long, public falling-out with former bandmate and ex-partner Stevie Nicks has finally come to a close.
Speaking with E! News on Thursday at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event, Buckingham addressed the state of his relationship with Nicks for the first time in detail since the pair's 2018 fallout, which followed his firing from Fleetwood Mac. He told the outlet the band's upcoming Apple TV+ documentary has been part of "a very circular healing process for all of us," adding that the rift has "been healed and worked out, and Stevie and I are talking all the time now."
The reconciliation follows a gradual thaw that began with the 2025 reissue of Buckingham Nicks, the pair's 1973 duo album, and their joint appearance on the podcast Song Exploder discussing its origins. Buckingham was fired from Fleetwood Mac in 2018 amid tension over tour scheduling, a split he has previously said strained the band for years.
The timing lines up with a busy stretch for Buckingham. He recently teased his first solo album in five years, calling it "the culmination of everything that I've learned from making solo albums over the last 25 years." The Fleetwood Mac documentary, directed by Frank Marshall for Apple Original Films, features new interviews with all four surviving core members - Buckingham, Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie.
