Keke Palmer is stepping into one of the most recognizable hosting chairs on television. NBC confirmed this week that Palmer will host "The Voice: Celebrity," a new spinoff premiering in 2027, ending Carson Daly's 15-season run as the face of the singing competition.
Palmer, 32, announced the news herself in a social media video, saying simply, "That's right. It's true. I'm hosting The Voice." The celebrity edition will feature actors, musicians, athletes, and reality stars competing for the franchise's first celebrity championship.
Daly, who has hosted every season since "The Voice" launched in 2011, will remain involved as a producer and continues hosting the flagship series, which returns this fall for Season 30. He praised Palmer on Instagram, calling her "PERFECT" for the new format and adding, "I'm so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out. We're all big fans & welcome her to the family."
Joining the celebrity edition's coaching panel are Queen Latifah, Joe Jonas - making his first-ever "Voice" coaching debut - and country singer Riley Green, who returns after joining the flagship show's coaching lineup this season. Green, raised in Jacksonville, Alabama, has often spoken about growing up on Southern gospel music and a family grounded in Christian faith, roots that continue to shape the storytelling in his songwriting even as his platform grows.
"The Voice: Celebrity" does not yet have a confirmed premiere date but is expected to air on NBC in 2027.
