Selena Gomez and Christina Aguilera have never collaborated on a song, a show, or a stage. Now, both pop icons are joining forces for something entirely different: the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Gomez and Aguilera have been named founding honorary host committee members of Legacy House, a new multi-year platform launching ahead of the LA28 Games. Also joining the committee are Law Roach, Ciara, Simu Liu, Jeff Goldblum, and dozens of other entertainers, athletes, and public figures, including Michelle Kwan, John Legend, Gabby Douglas, and Russell Wilson.
Legacy House isn't officially affiliated with the Olympics, but it's working closely with LA28 organizers. Its mission is to turn the energy of the Games into something that outlasts them - using conversations, cultural events, and community partnerships to create lasting change in Los Angeles. The platform, led by Greg Propper, will open a physical home base in Culver City during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and operates as a registered nonprofit.
For Gomez, the timing lines up with a season of very public purpose. The singer and actress has spoken candidly in the past about her Christian faith shaping how she handles fame, mental health, and public pressure - themes that echo Legacy House's stated goal of using visibility for something bigger than celebrity itself.
As for the pairing with Aguilera, it's a full-circle moment of sorts: Gomez has previously named the "Genie in a Bottle" singer as one of her own musical influences growing up. Now, more than two decades apart in their debuts, the two will share a stage of a different kind - one built for legacy rather than the charts.
