Reba McEntire has spent decades putting on massive shows, but her upcoming wedding to Rex Linn might give one of her concerts a run for its money.
The country music icon has revealed that what started as wedding planning is apparently ballooning into a three- or four-day celebration, complete with family, friends, dogs, horses, donkeys and even longhorn steers.
Yes, Reba's wedding guest list apparently has hooves.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, McEntire joked that planning the wedding is going "not very well," largely because she and Linn can't seem to find enough empty space on their increasingly packed calendars.
"Every time we plan on something, he gets a job, or we get back into the third season [of Happy's Place] and hoping for more," McEntire explained.
And apparently one free Saturday simply isn't going to cut it.
"It's not going to be a wedding day, it's going to have to be three or four days," she said.
Reba Wants A Wedding On The Farm - Animals Included
The biggest clue about just how unconventional this country wedding could become came when McEntire started describing the furry - and decidedly not-so-furry - members of the family.
"Not only do we have granddogs, we have long-horned steers. We have donkeys. We have horses. And dogs," she said.
"So it's going to be a very unusual wedding on the farm."
In other words, forget a perfectly manicured Hollywood ballroom. Reba appears to be dreaming of something much closer to a full-blown country celebration - and if her comments are any indication, practically everyone and everything she loves could be part of it.
There is just one problem: they still don't appear to have a wedding date.
McEntire and Linn have repeatedly found their plans competing with their careers, particularly their work together on NBC's Happy's Place. Linn plays Emmett, while McEntire stars as Bobbie - and their real-life romance has increasingly spilled over into their on-screen chemistry.
Their Romance Actually Started Decades Ago
The couple's love story has a surprisingly long history.
McEntire and Linn originally met back in 1991 while working on The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, starring Kenny Rogers. McEntire was married to Narvel Blackstock at the time, so romance wasn't in the cards.
Nearly three decades later, everything changed.
The pair reconnected in 2020 and began building their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic, famously relying on phone calls and virtual dates before eventually making their romance public.
Linn proposed in late 2024, although the couple didn't publicly confirm their engagement until September 2025.
McEntire has explained that they originally planned to share the happy news after Christmas, but devastating wildfires in Los Angeles made a celebratory announcement feel inappropriate at the time.
Now the secret is very much out - but the wedding itself remains tantalizingly unscheduled.
And "Grandma Reba" May Have A Very Special Little Wedding Guest
There could also be one adorable new addition to the guest list by the time Reba finally walks down the aisle.
McEntire's son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa, are expecting their first child, a baby boy reportedly named Archer, in October.
Marissa has spoken publicly about the couple's journey through infertility and IVF, making the pregnancy particularly meaningful for the family.
McEntire attended the baby shower, where a message apparently written by the country legend for her future grandson read, "We're gonna have so much fun!" and was signed "Grandma Reba."
So perhaps there's no hurry after all.
By the time Reba and Rex finally get their farm wedding underway, they could have a new grandson joining the dogs, donkeys, horses and longhorns for what is shaping up to be one of country music's most delightfully unconventional celebrity weddings.
One thing seems certain: when Reba McEntire finally says "I do," she isn't planning on making it a one-day affair.
