Justin Bieber’s Dad Jeremy Joins "The Traitors Canada"—But Will He Be A Faithful Or A Deceiver?

Justin Bieber's father is stepping out of his superstar son's shadow and into one of television's most deliciously deceptive games.

Jeremy Bieber has officially joined the cast of The Traitors Canada Season 4, turning months of reality-TV rumors into reality. The Canadian competition series will return September 21, with Jeremy preparing to lie, scheme and scrutinize his fellow contestants-or risk being eliminated by players doing exactly that.

The casting promises to introduce audiences to a very different member of the Bieber family. While Justin has spent much of his life performing before millions of fans, Jeremy must now determine whether he can survive inside a mansion filled with suspicion, secret alliances and carefully concealed identities.

The show divides its contestants into two groups. Most are designated Faithful, while a smaller number are secretly selected as Traitors. Each night, the Traitors "murder" one of the Faithful, while the remaining players attempt to expose and banish a suspected deceiver at the round table.

The Faithful can share a prize worth up to $100,000 if they eliminate every Traitor. However, any Traitor who remains undetected can snatch the money away-making trust potentially very expensive.

The biggest question surrounding Jeremy's casting is whether producers will select him as a Faithful or hand him one of those famous Traitors cloaks. Either way, his connection to one of the world's biggest pop stars could immediately place a target on his back.

Some contestants may assume Justin Bieber's father has nothing to hide. Others could decide that a man who has spent years navigating global fame, tabloid scrutiny and complicated family headlines knows more than a little about keeping his cards close to his chest.

Reports that Jeremy had signed on for the series first emerged in May. His place in the cast has now been confirmed as the show prepares for its highly anticipated fourth season.

Jeremy, who describes himself on social media as a father to Justin, Jazmyn, Jaxon, Allie and Bay, has maintained a recognizable public profile without pursuing a traditional entertainment career of his own. Appearing on The Traitors Canada will put him squarely in the spotlight-and give viewers a rare chance to see his personality beyond his famous surname.

Hosted by Canadian actress Karine Vanasse, the Canadian Screen Award-winning series is built around psychological warfare rather than physical dominance. Contestants must read one another's behavior, form alliances and decide whether every nervous glance or unusual conversation is evidence of betrayal.

Jeremy's family connection could prove helpful if it makes him appear familiar and trustworthy. It could just as easily work against him if the other players suspect producers would not recruit Justin Bieber's father merely to let him quietly fade into the background.

The series has previously brought together reality personalities, athletes, entertainers and everyday Canadians, creating a volatile mix of players who arrive with very different levels of fame and experience. Season 3 ended with Faithful players Dom Gabriel and Hollywood Jade surviving the deception and sharing the victory.

Now Jeremy Bieber will try to keep the family name alive inside the game-but whether he will be hunting the Traitors or secretly helping them remains under wraps.

One thing is certain: Justin may be accustomed to asking fans to believe in him, but his dad is about to enter a game where believing anybody can be a fatal mistake.
