Contemporary Christian artist and songwriter Allan Scott has released his new single "Foxhole Prayers," available now on major digital music and streaming platforms through Dream Records.
The new song combines acoustic elements with driving pop rhythms to deliver a heartfelt message for people facing some of life's darkest and most difficult moments. "Foxhole Prayers" centers on the simple cry for help that can come when a person has reached the end of their own strength.
Inspired by the idea of soldiers crying out to God from the safety of a foxhole during times of battle, Scott uses the song to point listeners toward the Lord as a source of hope, deliverance, and redemption.
Scott shared that the word "help" can be one of the most powerful prayers a person can offer, particularly when there seem to be no answers or a clear way forward. His own experiences with addiction and brokenness helped shape the song's deeply personal message.
Drawing from Psalm 34:18, which speaks of the Lord being close to the brokenhearted and saving those who are crushed in spirit, Scott hopes "Foxhole Prayers" will remind hurting listeners that God sees them, hears their cries, and can meet them even in their most broken places.
The release also continues Scott's broader ministry of sharing stories of transformation through music and live events. In 2021, he launched The Story Tour, an event centered on testimonies of freedom, restoration, and changed lives. According to his biography, the tour has traveled to more than 110 cities and recorded more than 40,000 registered attendees.
