Rather than framing faithfulness around achievement or visible success, Leonard's song reframes the parable around endurance. "Though I know it might be long, it's the race I'm gonna run," he sings, pointing toward a version of faithfulness measured by simply continuing to trust God through every season - not by reaching some final finish line of accomplishment.
The song carries added weight given what Leonard's family faced this year. His daughter River spent time in the ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after fluid built up around her heart, an experience that reshaped how the entire EP's themes of perseverance and mercy came together.
