Court records now show what Luke Daley was charged with after his September arrest, and authorities say it has nothing to do with the Nancy Guthrie case.
Daley, 37, was arrested Sept. 30 after probation officers and sheriff's deputies found two firearms in a gun case and a baggy of white powder that later tested positive for crack cocaine, according to court records reported by International Business Times. He was booked on one count of misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of a narcotic drug, KVOA reports. Sheriff's Department inmate records list his bond at $2,500.
Officials say no. A Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesperson said the booking "is unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie case." The records reviewed do not tie the charges to her disappearance.
Daley was briefly detained Feb. 13, when deputies and FBI agents served search warrants at his home about two miles from Guthrie's. He was released without charges. His attorney has said he has no link to Guthrie and no information about her kidnapping, and Daley has denied he is the masked figure seen on her doorbell camera. Officials have not named him a suspect.
Guthrie, 84, is the mother of "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. She was last seen Jan. 31 and remains missing. A combined reward of more than $1.2 million is still active.
The Guthrie family continues to ask for prayers, and JubileeCast joins them in praying for Nancy's safe return.
