Taylor Swift walked the Academy Museum Gala red carpet in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 17, in an ice blue Dior gown, ahead of a performance set to close the night.

The sixth annual gala took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. It honored Charlize Theron with the Icon Award, Colman Domingo with the Vantage Award and John Carpenter with the Luminary Award. Proceeds support the museum's exhibitions, screenings and education programs.

Can you watch it? Not publicly, so far. The museum closed for the private fundraiser, and no public livestream had been announced when this article was published.

The museum announced her performance on Oct. 8, but the set list was not confirmed. Fans expect "I Knew It, I Knew You" from Toy Story 5, which is drawing Oscar buzz. One report said she was heard sound-checking "Blank Space."

The gala is a fundraiser, and generosity has marked Swift's year. In September she donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe for Ashley Taunton, a Connecticut mother of three seriously injured while helping at a crash scene. Before her July wedding, she and Travis Kelce also gave $26 million to 20 charities.

It's a reminder that quiet generosity often says more than the red carpet.
