Dolly Parton and The Grascals have won Bluegrass Recorded Song of the Year at the 57th GMA Dove Awards for "Broken Angels."
The ceremony was held Oct. 6 in Nashville, about six weeks after Parton died on Aug. 25 at age 80.
The award went to "Broken Angels," recorded by The Grascals with Parton, who wrote the song with Jamie Johnson. It was her fourth Dove Award, according to Country Rebel.
Parton performed Don Francisco's "He's Alive" on the Dove Awards stage in 1990, K-LOVE reported. She also won an earlier Dove with for KING + COUNTRY for the video of "God Only Knows," a collaboration that earned a Grammy as well.
Amy Grant and Natalie Grant paid tribute to her on stage. Grant described Parton's faith as woven into everything she did.
Parton often spoke about her faith, and the win gives the Christian music community one more way to remember her.
