Self-produced by Cooper, "Wonder" pairs a catchy slap-bass verse and reverb-filled chorus with a traditional country fiddle that adds a distinctive touch to the track's second half. The result is a lively blend of country and dance influences built around the perspective of a man who is confident in his love and committed to his relationship.
Cooper co-wrote the song with Rose Falcon and Brian Bunn, drawing inspiration from his wife, Charis.
"'Wonder' is about my wife, Charis. It's about the fact that when I'm out on the road, she never has to wonder where my eyes are - she knows right where my heart is," Cooper shares. "That kind of trust is rare, and I wanted the song to feel the way that trust feels -- steady, honest, and sure of itself."
The release follows a series of milestones for Cooper, who was named a 2026 Taste of Country RISERS: Artist to Watch and recognized as a Spotify Fresh Find. His personal essay, "Healing Through Grief," which explores the story behind his song "Highs & Lows," also appears in the September/October 2026 issue of American Songwriter.
Cooper recently performed for a packed audience at Audacy Live at Hard Rock Cafe Nashville. His upcoming appearances include the 2026 WRNS Guitar Pull on November 9 at The Maxwell Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the second annual Quartz Hill Music Group Takeover at Chief's on Broadway in Nashville on November 16. The Takeover is free and open to the public until capacity is reached. Fans can find details and reserve tickets here.
