Christian hip-hop artist Skema Boy has signed with Provident Entertainment and celebrated the milestone with the release of his debut single under the label, "Worthy." Available now on digital streaming platforms, the track combines bold hip-hop production with a message centered on God's grace, redemption, and worthiness.
The signing marks a new chapter for the rising artist, who has built a growing audience with hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams. His previous releases include "God's Army," "Wristwatch," and "Blimp."
"Worthy" features songwriting contributions from Skema Boy, Wes Writer, and Quinten Coblentz, and incorporates a sample of Michael W. Smith's worship song "Agnus Dei." WEARETHEGOOD, Wes Writer, and Quinten Coblentz produced the track, bringing together hip-hop energy and a worship-inspired foundation.
Provident Entertainment President Holly Zabka praised Skema Boy's ability to connect with listeners through personal storytelling and music that points people toward Jesus. The label looks forward to supporting his continued growth and the impact of his message.
Born Nathanael Volf, Skema Boy grew up in Guilford, Connecticut, and now lives in Maui, Hawaii. Adopted at birth, he spent years wrestling with questions of identity and worth while facing mental health challenges. Music became an important outlet, and he initially pursued a career creating secular music while maintaining a full-time job.
His direction changed in 2021 after what he describes as a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit. The experience led him to surrender his musical gifts to Jesus and reshape his work around his Christian faith.
In October 2025, Skema Boy felt called to pursue music full time and stepped away from his job, trusting God to guide his next steps. Soon afterward, Brandon Lake reached out to collaborate. Their resulting song, "No Idols," helped lead to Skema Boy joining Lake's King of Hearts fall tour.
Earlier in 2026, Skema Boy signed with Rixon Entertainment Group for artist management, setting the stage for his partnership with Provident Entertainment. The label signing further advances his goal of using hip-hop to share the Gospel and encourage listeners to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus.
With "Worthy," Skema Boy begins his next chapter with a release that brings together his musical style and faith-driven mission.
