Timbaland and 1K Phew's collaborative album Seven Trumpets is out today, Oct. 30, through Reach Records. It pairs one of pop and hip-hop's most influential producers with the Atlanta Christian rapper for a full-length, faith-centered project.
CCM Magazine reports that Timbaland first noticed Phew through his viral "ATL Version" videos, which retell Bible stories. Phew performed his song "Safe!" at the 2026 GMA Dove Awards.
CCM reports that Phew was asked whether the project is a publicity move. He said, "This is not just a gimmick for him." He described Timbaland as being on a genuine spiritual journey and no longer wanting to make music he considers toxic.
In his Morning Hustle interview, he described the project as stepping into the kingdom and "letting God drive the car."
CCM points to the track "Walk on Water" as proof that Timbaland's signature rhythms are still there, now alongside Phew's message. Timbaland's catalog includes "Cry Me a River," "Pony," and "Dirt Off Your Shoulder."
CCM notes that he also collaborated with Forrest Frank this year, and that his song became a Fortnite emote. He has said his faith is about relationship over religion.
Seven Trumpets is available on streaming platforms now.
