Lucy Hale and Ian Harding are reuniting on screen in a new holiday rom-com, and Pretty Little Liars fans are already asking when it arrives.

The Twelve Dates of Christmas brings the two co-stars back together nearly a decade later. They played love interests Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz for seven seasons.

Hale plays Christina Walker, a career-focused shop owner, and the film is directed by David Lipper, who co-wrote it with Seth Howard. After her younger siblings start getting married before her, Christina decides to go on 12 dates in the 12 weeks leading up to Christmas.

Hale said in a TikTok that the movie is coming "this Christmas." To promote it, she and Harding recreated a poster from their Pretty Little Liars days. An exact premiere date had not been confirmed at the time of writing. Google Trends shows searches for the film's release date among the fastest-rising U.S. queries of the past 24 hours.

Hale has also spoken openly about her recovery and the gratitude that comes with it. When she marked three years of sobriety, she said she is grateful for "a power greater than myself that loves me unconditionally."

For fans, her return to a warm holiday role comes with that message of gratitude and perseverance.
