Milwaukee Brewers rookie Cooper Pratt gave credit to his faith after the team won its first World Series title.

The Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays four games to one on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Pratt, 22, made his MLB debut on June 16, less than five months earlier.

In his postgame interview, Pratt said he owes it all to his Heavenly Father. He also admitted he made mistakes during the postseason but said his teammates picked him up.

Pratt is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith drew national attention during the playoffs after he went viral for celebrating Milwaukee's series wins with orange Fanta instead of champagne or beer. He abstains from alcohol.

Elder Ronald A. Rasband, a senior leader in his church, praised Pratt for staying true to his faith on baseball's biggest stage. Pratt's father, Russell Pratt, said his son is comfortable with who he is and is not ashamed of his faith.

For many fans, his story is a reminder that humility, gratitude and living by your convictions can stand out, even in a championship celebration.
