Mckenna Grace says there are limits to the roles she will take, even as her career grows.
The 20-year-old "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" star told Cosmopolitan, "At this point, I definitely don't do nudity or very hypersexual things." Her comments were reported Nov. 2.
Grace said she respects actors who make different choices, but that this kind of work frightens her. She added that she is not sure whether her view will ever change.
The actress started working professionally as a child and now has a full slate of projects. "Sunrise on the Reaping" is set to open in theaters Nov. 20. Audiences also know her from "Ghostbusters: Afterlife," "Gifted" and "Captain Marvel."
Grace did not tie her stance to any religious belief, and she spoke about it as a personal limit. Still, her comments land in an ongoing conversation among many viewers, including people of faith, about modesty, integrity and the pressures young stars face in Hollywood.
Her openness may resonate with younger fans watching how she builds her career. For now, she says the line is hers to draw.
