It is said that the film's screenwriters have already been picked up though it is quite early. One of the writers includes Craig Kyle who is the former Senior vice president of Marvel production and development. He will write the script alongside Christopher Yost who wrote the previous installment of the film, "Thor: The Dark World." The Marvel Studios president, Kelvin Fiege, divulged in an all-out exclusive interview with Collider.com several pertinent details about the production status of the next installment of Thor, and also some information about Marvel's other project, 'Captain America 3."
Kelvin Fiege said, "Both (movies) in development, both in the works. Captain America has already been announced, so that's up first. That's in a further stage. 'Thor' is being outlined now, so both in the works." On the other hand, there is a Movie Pilot discussed on their website that the plot of the third installment of Thor will evolve on the possible doom of Asgard because of Thor, which is said to be included in the 'apocalyptic comic book story of Ragnarok."
More to that, the actor Tom Hiddleston who played the role of Loki, also mentioned several details of the Ragnarok plot in a recent interview that he was engaged in. he said, "I think there are very interesting things that happen. In the mythology, when you get to Ragnarok, which is 'the end of all things', it's not the end of the world...it's the end of time, and the universe and space. And I think if I am correct, Loki essentially sets that in motion. And his motivation for doing so is intriguing and he almost becomes the incarnation of chaos, in a way." It is also reported that Chris Hemsworth might star again as Thor, while Hiddleston and Natalie Portman are also said to be back for the third installment of the franchise. The release date of Thor 3 has not yet been announced though the production is in the works.
