Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Release Date, Plot Summary, Cast Rumors and Latest Update: Dimension X is Getting Ready for a Possible Sequel
Michaelangelo, Donatello, Raphaelo and Leonardo, these names may be famous for being Renaissance artist but for comic book fans, they are the names of their favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Although there have been some negative reviews about the first TMNT movie, Michael Bay and his crew are already gearing up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. The first TMNT movie have reportedly earned over $60M in just over the opening weekend, and thus, pressure is quite high for the upcoming sequel.
The turtles will once again head off for an adventure, and based on the hints provided by the director of the movie on various interviews, chances are high for them to be taken to Dimension X. For those who are wondering what it is, it represents a world where we will be able to know the origins of our favorite heroes. Yes, we just might figure out how they actually became 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. If the next movie does stick with the plan to explore Dimension X, many fans are also thinking that there may be more mutants to see in the film. Still, this is all just a theory and we still have to wait for the official plot summary to be released by the studio.
What is certain is that the team who wrote the first screenplay will also be the team responsible for the sequel. The director though is not yet confirmed as Jonathan Liebesman have his lips sealed as to whether he will still be directing the next TMNT movie. Also Megan Fox said that she is completely onboard in reprising her role should the producers ask her to. We can't imagine why they wouldn't.
