The Dying Light release date is scheduled for sometime in February next year. As confirmed by its developers, along with Dying Light PC, it will also be available in four different platforms, namely: PS3, PS4, XBox 360 and XBox One.
The game was initially developed as a sequel to "Dead Island" but due to its different features it was then categorized as a new, separate game altogether. According to the latest news about the gamemakers' description of the game, Dying Light is essentially a single player instalment with an option of four player cooperation and other similar varieties. It will also have a player versus player mode wherein a player can opt to play the zombie and fight other people in their campaign missions.
Basically, Dying Light is a first - person, action survival horror game wherein the player must struggle to survive an overnight vicious outbreak of danger using supplies and weapons that he picks up in the infected world.
