The Walking Dead Season 5: Explosive, Messy, Brutal, and Thrilling; Episode 1 "No Sanctuary" Airs October 12!
AMC's The Walking Dead was officially renewed for a fifth season and premieres October 12, 2014 at 9PM. It was officially confirmed on October 29, 2013 for a total of 16 episodes. First 8 episodes are scheduled to air in the fall, and the rest will air mid season of 2015. The first episode is called "No Sanctuary".
In Season 4, we saw Rick and his people get separated as they follow the prisoner exodus, but we also saw all of them headed towards Terminus. Then, Rick and some of his groupmates were imprisoned in an old railroad.
One of the show's executive producer, Scott M Gimple, shared a few details about the new season during an interview with Larry King. He said that we can expect more action, power struggle, and a new blooming romance. We will also find out Beth's situation.
As for the casts, THR reported that Tara (Alanna Masterson) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) are now regulars in the series. Gareth (Andrew West), a new character from season 4, is also now a regular. Gareth showed up in season 4 as the leader of the people at Terminus. He plays a major role in the upcoming season 5.
As The Walking Dead cast members and writers put it, season 5 is going to be "explosive", "messy", "brutal", and "thrilling".
The Walking Dead season 5 premieres on October 12, 2014 at 9PM, with its first episode called "No Sanctuary".
