OS X Yosemite Release Date: Featuring Translucent, Streamlined Toolbars and Smarter Controls
It was announced early this year that Apple would release the OS X Yosemite this fall, but it seems that it is being delayed, as there were no mention of further details regarding the operating system. The iOS 8 has already been slated to be released on Wednesday, but there were no news whether Yosemite would be released on the same date or not. For now, the release dates are nothing but unfounded rumors, so it would be better not to believe those rumors unless the company itself confirms the release of the OS.
Apple released a beta version of Yosemite back in July, and it garnered positive response from users all over the world. Featuring translucent, streamlined toolbars and smarter controls, the new OS includes new features that are extremely different to the other OS that Apple has created. Other features include an iCloud Drive file storage and an expanded Notification Center.
The major theme of Yosemite is 'continuity,' ensuring that users of the OS could move between devices smoothly. Users could switch devices and continue what they are doing using the Handoff feature, as well as answer calls on their MacBook using the iPhone integration. Synchronization between Apple devices is the key feature of Yosemite, something that has yet to be done by other OS developers.
Essentially, Yosemite is an improved OS which combines performance and aesthetic beauty together without compromising any of the two. MacBook users will just have to wait a little longer, as Apple promised that the Yosemite will be released within this season.
Since there is beta version of Yosemite, MacBook users could experience using the new OS, and see for themselves whether they would like to use it in the future or not.
