The DC Comics universe is invading the primetime block this fall as FOX Channel's Gotham, CW's The Flash, and NBC's Constantine premiere starting this week.

Here's all you need to know about the three shows:

Gotham

Taking inspiration from the DC title Gotham Central, Gordon is paired with Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) as they battle it out with up and coming villains such as the Penguin (Robin Taylor), Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Poison Ivy (Clare Foley) and the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith).

Plus, fans will get to see a different side of Gordon and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) as they play surrogate fathers to a young Bruce Wayne.

The Flash

Premieres on: Tuesday, Oct. 7, 8 PM on The CW

Central City CSI Barry Allen, played by Grant Justin, is struck by a thunderbolt and becomes the Crimson Comet.

The Flash TV series was conceptualized by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, the same team behind the hit show Arrow.

The pilot episode kicks off with a quick retelling of how Barry got his powers. Helping The Flash fight badass villains such as The General (Clancy Brown), Plastique (Kelly Frye), Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) is Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who heads STAR Labs. Wells has an ulterior motive for helping The Flash, which fans will discover in the coming episodes.

Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes also join The Flash cast.

Constantine

Premieres on:  Friday, Oct. 24, 10 PM on NBC

Matt Ryan plays the chain-smoking John Constantine, a demon hunter battling supernatural elements while struggling with his own inner demons as well.

Joining Constantine is Manny, an angel played by Harold Perrineau, and artist Zed Martin, played by Angélica Celaya.

Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall directs Constantine's pilot episode, which promises to be dark, brooding, and faithful to its comic book origins.
