BlackBerry Blend shares data among multiple devices: Connectivity across multiple devices

The first big move that Blackberry CEO John Chen has made is launching the new member of the BlackBerry family named as "Passport". It will be a business-oriented phone, which will come along with plenty of new features. The company has recently mentioned a new feature named Blend, which will allow the smartphone to access to tablets, notebooks or PCs to gain data. Isn't this is a surprise from BlackBerry?

If everything goes according to plan BlackBerry Passport will be the very first device, which will have the facility to blend itself with other devices like notebook or PCs. With this feature user will be able to monitor personal e-mail accounts, text messages, BBM messages or calendars from Macs, PCs, and Android operated Tablets by using BlackBerry Passport.

Fans can get Blend available on the company's main website for Mac or PC version and the Android and iPad version are available in Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

According to the new CEO John Chen BlackBerry is looking forward to come out of its typical style is trying to merge and explore more to bring new technologies with their new products. The new app Blend is just the reflection of his words. Blend will only work for the big screens. There has been no plan yet from the company to expand Blend to use for smartphones.

By using Blend user can access to his notebook, PC or Mac from another place via Wi-Fi network. So, no need to stay close to the devices for using Blend. User can work at office and can access to his home PC. With provision of Wi-Fi activity Blend can also work with USB data transfer cable. Obviously this is a big move by the company and big things will come eventually as the day progress to release Passport.

The BlackBerry Passport will have display size of 4.5-inch with IPS LCD display. It will bring back the long forgotten QWERTY keyboard back in business. Though the price of the smartphone has not been specifically confirmed by the company but the leaked probable prize for the phone will be around $599.
