NCIS Season 12 Episode 1 Review: Gibbs in Action
NCIS Season 12 Episode 1 Review: Gibbs in Action
As expected, the series writers of NCIS have treated us to yet another awesome episode. They simply would not go about giving viewers the same old plot all over again. Instead, they presented fans with new plots and twists all the time.
They simply put Gibbs and McGee behind enemy lines. They were on the run and being hunted down by a merciless enemy who outgunned and outnumbered them. In the premiere episode, we got to see the two of them in action. They put to good use a ton of survival skills just to evade this enemy; and this is what fans are looking for.
Gibbs in action is fun to watch. He could be cold and merciless when his life is on the line. His abilities in close quarter combat as well as his proficiency with the rifle is something that's rarely shown. Fans would be hoping the guy is a field operative rather than a team leader by now. That is just how good he was.
The 12th season of NCIS started off with what appears to be a walk-in-the-park mission for McGee and Gibbs. All they need to do is get to Russia, and escort home Kevin Hussein, an NCIS system admin. This mission is important, though because Hussein has a lot of classified information and he was reported to be under surveillance. Still, on the surface, it was nothing more than a routine mission. "NCIS" Season 12, episode 1 also gave us a good look at the members of the NCIS team and see them react with their friends' lives on the line. We find Abby a bit lost. She even had difficulty handling the virus which, despite her precautions got through and infected the whole system. This is understandable as she and McGee were partners in forensics and computer investigation. Tony also lost a bit of control. He even barked on a Russian diplomat; all because his friends are in danger. This premiere episode is, by far, one of the best and most action-packed episodes they have. It could easily become the favorite of many fans.
