Apple iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Mini 2 have very similar features, courtesy their parent company so it is a tough task to choose which one to buy!

iPhone 6 Plus has stunning 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution in 5.5-iches display. The pixel density is nothing but stunning with 401ppi pixel density. The pixel quality is knife-edge sharp where LED backlit IPC LCD capacitive type display is used. The smartphone is protected by oleophobic coating, while the display glass is protected with shatterproof glass. Its own family member iPad Mini 2 has larger screen with lesser pixel density as iPad Mini 2 has 7.9-inches display with 1536 x 2048 pixels and the pixel density is 324ppi. The overall display is sharp but iPhone 6 plus leads the display quality segment by large margin with better display engine quality. Oleophobic coating is also present in this device.

Both the devices have 16-128GB internal storage available and 1GB of RAM slot. However, the provision for extra memory storage or microSD card slot is absent. The iPhone 6 plus represents a very powerful hardware package with Apple's latest Apple A8 chipset and dual core 1.4 GHz Cyclone processor. Gaming graphics are excellent and smooth as the GPU is adorned with PowerVR GX6450 quad core graphics emulator. The iPad Mini 2 offers the previous chipset version Apple A7 with dual core 1.3GHz cyclone processor. The GPU is the same that runs the iPhone 6 Plus. Both the devices are well equipped with compact configuration and have nothing to complain about speed and performance since recently iPhone 6 beat the speed test where the competitor was HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Apple is still stuck in the 8MP rear camera sensor for iPhone 6 plus and 1.2MP front facing camera sensor whereas iPad Mini 2 comes with 5MP rear facing camera and 1.2 MP front facing camera. Both the devices operating system can be upgraded to iOS 8.0.2, where iPhone 6 Plus runs on latest iOS 8 and iPad Mini 2 runs on iOS 7.
