Zach Galifianakis Shocks The Public With His Slimmer, Fitter, More Toned Physique
When Zach Galifianakis showed the public his new look for the first time, after several months, everyone was shocked. The funny man looked more like Bradley Cooper, his co-star in Hangover and less like himself in most of his appearances.
Working in Holywood could mean having to digest the scrutiny of the cruel public, especially when it comes to weight. The tabloids are always in search for the stars who are going through weight issues, but men in particular are not pressured as women. And what about comedians? Well, the public perceives it a bonus deal when funny people are slightly overweight.
So people are asking, how did Zach do it? What prompted him to actually lose that weight he has been seen comfortable with for years?
E! reported that when Zach was asked on what prompted him to lose weight, Zach said, "I just decided to stop drinking and slowly, my weight started to put off. In the past, I would regularly have Vodka and sausage; well, that was definitely a delicious combination, but it's bad for you."
His words, new fashion, and within-normal weight range state became an instant inspiration, but it just sounded too simple- you will lose weight if you stop drinking.
A British research has revealed that "a lot of people aren't aware of the weight consequences of regular alcohol-drinking. The campaign "Know Your Limits" polled 2, 000 English adults. Researchers have found out that 40% of the sample population did not actually know that a single glass of alcoholic beverage contains the same amount of calories as that of a single cake slice."
However, could there be more pleasures to his recent transformation? We don't know, especially that Galifianakis isn't the spotlight-grabbing kind of celebrity.
In an interview, Galifianakis told WENN that "being a 'celebrity' is s***y, it is dumb, and I am not interested in being one." He added, "My only goal is to be a brilliant actor and that's just it. The lines that make the entire scenario s***y are man-made. Being a celebrity is definitely a man-made thing, it is not natural to men. I would rather finish my work in the best that I can, go straight home, and watch Lifetime."
It would appear that his transformation was more of an internal motivation than an external deal. There is no wonder why his weight loss endeavor became major success. Regardless of his method or reason, we are all happy that he is now pursuing a healthier and funnier life.
