Kelly Glow Releases New Single "Show Me The Way"
During this information age what about the forgotten subcultures in society: the blind, the deaf and the stolen? In her latest single, "Show Me the Way," Kelly Glow gives voice to the voiceless through clever storytelling from their perspective.
Imagine what it would be like to switch shoes with one of them and then dive into a melodic, spiritual journey. This song has a unique blend of acoustic sounds, soulful singing, and smooth lyrical delivery. The underlying inspirational content of this track is rather timely for the myriads of people feeling discouraged and needing direction during these seemingly wayward times. Reminiscent of Eminem's hit single "Stan", Kelly Glow offers a fresh, universal sound.
Kelly Glow music is a rare fusion of Funk, Jazz, Rock and Hip Hop that is unapologetic-ally positive, empowering and faith-based. A Kelly Glow performance is fun, funky and full of energy. Kelly Glow's mission statement is based on Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before others that they may see the good in you and praise your Father in Heaven." In other words, we "Glow 4 God!"
This dynamic music ministry began in 2002 with the release of Ready for War, a Christian Hip Hop project recorded with live instruments. "Holy Fire", a song based on the Apostle's Creed, debuted at the 2003 ELCA National Youth Gathering at the Georgia, Dome in Atlanta, GA. The single, "Backsliders" was featured on the main stage at the 2006 ELCA National Youth Gathering, in San Antonio, TX. Kelly Glow co-hosted the Holy Hip Hop Awards & Showcase with minister Eddie Velez 2005-2008. In 2005, Kelly created a Hip Hop Gathering Model for the ELCA Multicultural Evangelism Committee encompassing Hip Hop influenced worship services and activities. In 2009, Kelly Glow co-produced The Adventures of KG and ELA, an educational Hip Hop album featuring standards-based Math and English songs. The next Kelly Glow album is highly anticipated and scheduled for release early in 2015.
