Ryan Stevenson Reminds Us in His New Single that There Are No Damaged Goods with God
In a world where we are constantly flooded with news of negativity, Ryan Stevenson brings the good news of the Gospel in a refreshing way. His new single "Mosaic" speaks about the second chances Jesus offers us at the cross. Regardless of our sins and shameful pasts, Stevenson reminds is that God can still make something beautiful out of our lives.
Stevenson shares on social media, "I dropped BRAND NEW SONG today! Sometimes, because of our mistakes and mess-ups in life, we feel like we're damaged goods, and that have no value to God. This last year the Lord really woke me up, and began to show me that he doesn't use us in spite of our failures, he actually uses those things too!! He weaves our inadequacies right into our story. What looked damaged & dirty gets cleaned up, fused together with His love; and becomes a beautiful work of art as his light shines through us!"
The song has already resonated well with fans. One fan comments, "This most definitely spoke to me today. The end of what has been a horrible week, I needed this reminder that God loves me, even with all the failures. Thank You for bringing this to me today." Another fan agrees, "It's just so beautiful. Thank you for continuing to write music that touches the human soul......and keeps us pointing in the right direction."
Here are lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Looking at my past right now
Honestly I can't see how any beauty could be underneath these ashes
Every place I've compromised, all the patterns of my life
There's a million things I wish had never happened
It's amazing how You take every mess up and mistake
Every broken frame and shattered place inmate
Instead of throwing me away
You clean up every jagged shape and put a work of art together perfectly
[Chorus]
And Then You shine Your light, through my fractured lines
Nothing was wasted, You made a mosaic
A fascinating sight, in my Father's eyes, a brand new creation
You made a mosaic
[Verse 2]
Such a beautiful design, so peculiar so divine
Every crack displays a different shade of mercy
When you hold it in Your hands, I'm like a child once again
And I'm overwhelmed by just how much You love me
[Chorus]
And Then You shine Your light, through my fractured lines
Nothing was wasted, You made a mosaic
A fascinating sight, in my Father's eyes, a brand new creation
You made a mosaic
[Bridge]
Only You, only You
Only You can take these ashes and make something beautiful
Only You, only You
Only You can take these ashes and make something beautiful
[Chorus]
And Then You shine Your light, through my fractured lines
Nothing was wasted, You made a mosaic
A fascinating sight, in my Father's eyes, a brand new creation
You made a mosaic
No nothing was wasted, You made a mosaic
