Inherent Vice Movie Cast, Plot, Release Date and Other News: Paul Thomas Anderson Features Narration in the Movie
Everyone knows that director Paul Thomas Anderson isn't fond of placing narration in his movies, however, for the Inherent Vice movie, the writer-director decided to give it a shot.
For those who have been hiding under the rock, Inherent Vice is a book to movie adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's 2009 novel and tells the story of an LA private investigator set in the early 1970's.
The movie debuted at the recently concluded New York Film Festival. The Inherent Vice cast consists of an all-star ensemble including Joaquin Phoenix who plays Doc Sportello, Katherine Waterston who plays the role of Shasta Pay, Eric Roberts who plays the role of Mickey Wolfmann, Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toror, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short and Owen Wilson.
On an interesting note, the Inherent Vice movie also features a never-been-heard-before, unreleased Radiohead track. The track was slipped in by Radiohead's guitarist Jonny Greenwood, who provided a couple of songs and the movie's score. The unreleased Radiohead song is an instrumental named Spooks.
The Inherent Vice movie is also set to be screened at the AFI Festival this upcoming November 8. It will include a conversation with the film's writer and director Paul Thomas Anderson. The Inherent Vice movie is also set to be part of the Centerpiece Gala.
Several reviews are saying that Inherent Vice is truly a film worth watching.
Inherent Vice movie release date is set on December 12.
