Mars Hill Church's Website Pulled Down

As of midnight Eastern time, Mars Hill Church's website will be pulled down. The Seattle Church that once had 12,000 to 13,000 worshippers will dissolve as of January 1st, 2015.
Just before the website's demise, it is still advertising "A New Christmas Sermon Series" and Christmas Eve service times at two remaining Mars Hill "campuses." However, former Lead Pastor Mark Driscoll is up with a very similar-looking http://www.markdriscoll.org website that offers past Driscoll sermons, a "Spiritual Warfare" series, "best books" recommendations, blog posts on subjects ranging from Christmas to planning a sabbatical, plus an appeal for money.
In the new year, Mars Hill Church must still liquidate property. It has promised to distribute remaining assets to "seed" congregations that are re-forming as independent churches.
The church that Driscoll co-founded enjoyed a lifespan of 18 years. But the church came tumbling down, after charges of bullying and intimidation by Driscoll, allegations of plagiarism in his writings, and a revelation that Mars Hill paid a consultant $200,000 to artificially pump sales of "Real Marriage" came to the surface. Driscoll preached his last sermon at Mars Hill Bellevue in late August, and quit his post on Oct. 15.
