Reba McEntire Wants Us to Help Her Fight Against Hunger in America
Reba McEntire is the new face of the fourth annual Outnumber Hunger campaign. Starting in April, Reba, The Band Perry, Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line will be featured on more than 60 million General Mills packages. Those include everybody's favorites, like Cheerios and Pillsbury, Yoplait and Nature Valley products. By purchasing items from those specially marked packages and entering the product code at outnumberhunger.com, you can secure five meals for your local food bank.
In addition to the new program launch, Reba will headline the Reba and Friends Outnumber Hunger concert April 18 on CMT. The special event will include performances by Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Eli Young Band, Maddie & Tae and Florida Georgia Line.
"I was raised to treat others with compassion," Reba states in a press release. "Knowing that one in six Americans struggle with hunger means my fans and people I see every day need help. The Outnumber Hunger campaign is such a simple way to help your neighbors, so how could you not? I'm so proud to lead the charge with Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America."
On the other hand, Reba is preparing for the relase of new album, Love Somebody, which features the single "Going Out Like That," along with a duet with Jennifer Nettles, will be released April 14. And starting June 14, she'll join her pals Brooks & Dunn for a residency in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
