The Dunaways Return With "Blank Page"
For a quarter century, the Dunaways have led a full-time ministry, as well as pastored New Zion Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia, Mississippi for the last 19 years. Since 1993, their ministry through song has been a fan-favorite as they released hit songs like "When There's No Hope (There is Grace)," "Didn't I Walk On the Water" and "Church in the Kitchen." Their new, long-awaited album, "Blank Page," includes twelve songs in a variety of Southern Gospel styles.
Three songs were written by group member Tammy Dunaway. Her "Faith Like That" kicks off the recording, as well as being the first song from "Blank Page" to go to radio. Tammy also wrote the album's "Here's My Goodbye" and "Sometimes Mercy Hurts."
The title song, "Blank Page," is a simply-orchestrated song about the forgiveness of God. Featuring Tammy Dunaway, the song says, "I got a blank page 'cause the blood erased the mistakes I made and where I've been. I got a clean slate, I got a new day, 'cause He washed away all my sin. I got a blank page." Written by Lee Black, Devin McGlamery, and Nathan Woodard, this measured song is both reassuring to Christians and encouraging for them to live in God's forgiveness.
The Dunaways are made up of members Randall Dunaway (baritone), Tammy Dunaway (alto), Kanah Dunaway Lovern (soprano), and Landon Villines (tenor/lead). This is the group's first album with Landon Villines, who joined the Dunaways in 2018. Landon said, "I am full of excitement to join this family on the road. To everything there is a season, and I'm beyond ready to begin this one!" Join Landon and the Dunaways as they present twelve stellar songs on "Blank Page."
