Jonny Somervell Sets Our Hearts on Fire with "Burn"
UK worship leader Jonny Somervell has released a brand new single "Burn" via Homegrown Worship. An open tuned acoustic guitar gradually gives way to heavy rock drums and big anthemic guitars as the song builds to it's prayerful crescendo: a desire to be set on fire for the Kingdom of God and His purposes in our lives.
Jonny will be releasing more new music as part of the Handpicked playlist throughout 2020, so make sure you stay tuned!
'The plea of this song is for the fire of God to not only burn away what is unholy in our lives but to also set our hearts on fire for His glory' says Jonny.
'Burn is a heart cry for holiness and for God's Kingdom to burn so brightly in me that it spills out to the world.'
Jonny Somervell is a young Worship Pastor based at St Leonard's Chesham Bois in Amersham. Having studied Theology, Music & Worship at London School of Theology and been a student on the 2015/2016 Worship Central Academy at STC Sheffield, Jonny has since further pursued the call on his life to lead God's people in worship and inspire creativity through not only songwriting but also prophetic and spontaneous worship.
