Singing phenom Bri Babineaux, who boasts over a half million Instagram followers, has released her brand new single "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)." The song is the lead single from her sophomore gospel album, The Encounter (Tyscot/Integrity). Jamel Kimbrough, a veteran keyboardist and music arranger, is producer behind the project.
"Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" was first recorded by Hillsong United. The song spent a record 61 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. In the year-end summaries, it was the chart's No. 1 song in 2014 and 2016, No. 2 in 2015, and No. 10 in 2017. Billboard ranked it as the No. 1 Christian song of the 2010s decade. The song was certified double platinum in the United States.
Bri Babineaux is best-known for her signature songs such as "I'll Be The One" (2015) and "Make Me Over" (2017) which both hit No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Digital Song Sales chart. Her debut album, Keys to My Heart (MBE/Tyscot), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums sales chart in the spring of 2016 and helped her win two Stellar Gospel Music Awards, including New Artist of the Year in 2017.
