Moto 360 Smartwatch: All The Latest Updates On Release Date, Specs And Features Of The Moto 360 Smartwatch

Many people have been asking about the release date of Motorola's Android wear Smartwatch. We expected a July release for the Moto 360 smart watch, but there is still no official word from Motorola on when it will arrive. It looks like we might still have to wait until September to witness the release. The Motorola 360 is so far the only android watch with a circular screen and a high quality metal. But despite the circular shape, the Moto 360's functionality will remain unchanged from other rectangular smart watches.

According to expert reviews, the Moto 360 will come with an option of either metal or leather straps based on the limited images revealed by Motorola.  Rumors suggest that the Moto 360 watch screen is a custom-made OLED display and coupled with the ambient light sensor it should be a pretty efficient device. It is said that the OLED screen can save up to 40% of power unlike the LCD displays. This is an advantage to the Moto 360 watch. These custom-made OLED displays with mostly black watch face screensaver will help reduce battery life consumption.

It is also reported that Motorola confirmed that the Moto 360 can charge wirelessly via magnetic induction. The Motorola 360 watch which runs with Google's Android wears OS is compatible with all Android 4.3 and Android 4.4 phones and tablets which take advantage of battery-sipping Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Reports say that the Moto 360 smart watch will also be water resistant. Although there is no official announcement, Motorola casually hinted that the average retail value of the Moto 360 Watch is $249. We do not have the exact numbers but Motorola has stated that the battery capacity and functioning has been made a priority.

This is basically what we know. We'll have more information for you as we get it but all signs suggest that we will see a strong start from Motorola in the smart watch world and probably the Best Android wear device so far. This is all we have for now but I guess all we'll have to do is wait for the release.
