Marcus and Jalyn McGill Talk About the Heart Behind "Know You"
Marcus and Jalyn McGill are worship leaders and singer-songwriters based in Dickinson, North Dakota. The couple have just released new single "Know You." The song is now available everywhere you listen to music!
"The heart behind this song is simple: we want to love the Promise Keeper more than we love the promises. When you are waiting on a promise from the Lord, sometimes the desire for the promise outweighs the desire for Him. Our prayer times can go from intimate to transactional, and from joy to drudgery. This song is all about getting back to God's heart. If He never did another thing for you, would you still love Him? Would you still worship Him? Is He worth more than any promise He could fulfill?
"Sure - we're going to keep seeking the promises! But while we're waiting, let's fall more in love with Jesus. Let's get to know Him and ENJOY Him. Let's make Him the goal. Because the more we know Him, the more we want Him."
Marcus & Jalyn McGill are worship artists in Dickinson, ND. For years, both Marcus and Jalyn have felt a call to bring fresh worship music to the body of Christ. Currently, Marcus leans into the production side and Jalyn focuses on writing. Together they lead worship and serve as pastors.
Marcus and Jalyn believe in the power of music to set the stage for an encounter with God and to usher in His presence. They are passionate about releasing music that will stir the church to a deeper relationship with Christ. Their songs are full of declarations of faith and cries for revival. It is their desire that through their music, listeners would experience the presence of God and their hearts would be filled with faith to see Him do the impossible.
