Half Life 3 Confirmed Release Date, News And Rumors: Could Half Life 3 Be In Development Or Should Its Fans Give Up Hope
We have the latest for you on the Release date, news and rumors of Half Life 3. Gabe Newell, the Valve founder, was engaged in an interview by the Washington post about the sequel of the game and he also talked about why the game will not be happening in the near future.
Newell said, "When we started out we were a single-player video game company that could have been really successful just doing half life sequel after half life sequel, but we collectively said let's try to make multi-player games even though there's never been a commercial multi-player game. Then we tried to do stream. There were a bunch of people who thought stream was a really bad idea, but what they didn't know was that they would tell the people who were working on stream what to do with their time, that's fine but we're going to spend our time working on half life 2. We think you're kind of wasting your time, but it's your time to waste."
There were rumors going around some time ago that Valve would announce the release date, but time went by and the release date was not announced. There was no sign of the surfacing of the game. Newell, however, recognizes that the game has garnered a lot of attention and he said during the interview that he supports what the fans tell them. "We definitely in a sense have an army of customers who always help us stay honest...," he concluded. "We've essentially crowd-sourced supervision of a lot of these decisions to our customers and it works better that way than almost any other system we could design. They're rabid, they are passionate and there are a lot of them."
This is definitely one of the most loved and the most waited for games. Although there has been no official announcement of the release date or even a solid confirmation that the game is being worked on, the fans are really waiting for the release. The game has been anticipated for long and I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes.
