As 2025 draws to a close, Josh Wilson is reflecting on a year defined by healing, connection, and renewed creative momentum-both onstage and in the studio.

Following the release of his deeply personal 2024 full-length album Mental Help, which candidly explored mental health, addiction, and recovery, Wilson continued that journey in 2025 with new music and meaningful collaborations. Among the year's highlights was the release of "Take It From Me," a long-anticipated single co-written with close friend Jason Gray. Written more than a decade ago, the song testifies to the power of friendship-how others can carry us when we cannot go it alone. Wilson and Gray also celebrated the release with several joint live performances.

Wilson also released "Who's My Neighbor?", a song centered on empathy and shared humanity. The track challenges cultural divisions amplified by news and social media, reminding listeners that our neighbors include everyone-even those who look, believe, or vote differently. An acoustic version of the song is also available.

Throughout the year, Wilson played shows across the country, cherishing the face-to-face connection with audiences in an increasingly digital and AI-driven music landscape. One standout moment came during his final show of 2025, when a young fan named Hamil joined him onstage to sing after sharing he had previously performed the song at a school talent show-an example of the joy and authenticity Wilson says live music uniquely provides.

Looking ahead, Wilson has begun work on a new album titled How Loved You Are, once again collaborating with producer Kyle Schlonewill, who also produced Mental Help. The project is already halfway complete, with more details expected soon.

Wilson's reflection carries particular weight given where he was just five years ago. At the time, he believed his music career had ended amid severe depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Today, after sustained time in prayer, therapy, church community, medication, and rest, he says a new song has returned to his heart.

"Thank you God, and thank you to my friends, my family, and everyone who has supported me," Wilson shared. "I couldn't do this without you. Jesus loves you and so do I. Happy 2026."
