iPhone 6 Release Date, Features, Rumors: September Release date?

The fourth quarter of the year is upon us, and that signals the arrival of the new Apple phone, the iPhone 6. Many have rumored and speculated of the new iPhone having 2 models; one with a bigger screen, and another with a smaller one. Photos have allegedly been leaked showing some new designs of the phone's new camera, where it is shown to be raised from the back of the phone, as well as showing the recessed volume controls and an embedded logo. The leaked images were provided by Russian designers Feld and Volk. The images also suggests that the iPhone 6 will have a 4.7 inch display. There are also rumors circulating that there might even be a 5.5 inch model, but majority of the internet are skeptical that Apple would release 2 different iPhone models in the same year.

Most notably, the overall design doesn't stray too far from the design of the iPhone 5s. One of the rumors floating around is the new Sapphire display that might potentially be stronger and more scratch-resistant than the Corning Gorilla Glass display which is currently used in most smartphones. A prominent change under the hood of the iPhone 6 is the new A8 processor, which will succeed the A7 processor of the iPhone 5s. The A8 processor promises a snappier smartphone experience and will make using or switching from apps faster. The iPhone 6 will also adapt the fingerprint scanner, Touch ID, and will also be integrated to the iOS 8.

The successor to the iOS 7, the iOS 8, is also said to be released alongside the iPhone 6. Much of what Apple is concerning themselves with is not just the hardware design of the phone, but also the software integration of iOS 8. One of the notable features in iOS 8 is that Siri will now support hands-free activation. Also a new native app, Health has also been added. Third-party keyboard applications can now also be used for the iOS8 like Swype, SwiftKey, and Fleksy.

Apple iPhone rival, the Samsung Galaxy, has had third-party applications support through their Android OS, which critics are citing that Apple is very late on allowing this type of feature available. Nonetheless, consumers are still abuzz for Apple's new addition to the iPhone family.

The Mirror is reporting that the iPhone 6 will be released on September 19th in 32GB and 64GB models. Numerous websites are also reporting the official announcement of the iPhone 6 will be held on September 9th at a media conference that will be held by Apple.
