Hunger Games: Mockingjay' lead actress Jennifer Lawrence and her British boyfriend Nicholas Hoult have broken up for the second time, according to E!News.
Jennifer Lawrence, 23, and Nicholas Hoult, 24, began dating in 2010 while filming X-Men: First Class, where Lawrence plays 'Mystique' to Hoult's 'Beast.' However, they ended their relationship in January 2013. Six months later, they reconnected as a couple after filming X-Men: Days of Future Past together. This August, Lawrence and Hoult apparently called it quits once more because of their "difficult schedules."
In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Lawrence said of her on-and-off relationship with Hoult, "When we're busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn't text back or call. Life's super-busy. Obviously you know what they're doing, and you trust them. We're so young that it would almost be like if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We'd be living together. At least this way he's in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other."
A nasty rumor from the gossip mills says the reason the couple broke up was that Hoult could no longer stand Lawrence's 'explosive ego.' This may not be the case since Hoult himself believes that success hasn't gotten yet to Jennifer's head. He told US Weekly in an interview, "It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it. I think that's something she's capable of doing, and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well-deserved for her. I haven't really seen any change in her."
Anyway, X-Men: Apocalypse is set to release on May 27, 2016. Who knows? During filming, Lawrence and Hoult may once more decide to give their relationship another go.
