The case is closed. And Alan Ritchson is ready to move on.

After a week that saw viral footage, a police investigation, and national headlines, the Reacher star broke his silence this week - not with a lengthy statement, but with a video posted from an ADR recording booth. "Happy to be back in the booth after such a crazy week," Ritchson wrote on Instagram, announcing that he had wrapped post-production on Reacher Season 4.

"This is, without a doubt, the most gripping season yet," he added. "I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders... as it were."

What happened before that post

Before addressing the week directly, Ritchson had already sent a quieter signal. He posted a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte to Instagram - "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake" - in what many read as a sign he was confident the full story would clear him. It did.

Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin confirmed no criminal charges would be pursued against Ritchson, stating his actions were found to be in self-defense. Ritchson also declined to press charges against neighbor Ronnie Taylor, who admitted initiating physical contact.

What's next

With the legal chapter firmly closed, the conversation shifts entirely to Reacher Season 4 - which Ritchson says fans will see very soon. For a man who has spoken openly about his Christian faith, his InstaChurch platform, and the tension between public life and personal conviction, choosing to respond with work rather than words says something in itself.

The "crazy week" is over. Season 4 is coming.
