Lauren Daigle is having a moment - and the best may still be ahead.

Daigle currently leads Billboard's Christian Airplay chart with "Let It Be a Hallelujah," a song that almost never existed. She wrote it nearly a decade ago, tucked it away in her Dropbox, and forgot about it - until God had other plans.

"I truly believe God had an incredible design filled with intention behind why this song wasn't brought forth into the world in the season in which we wrote it," Daigle shared. "This song was savored and salvaged for a time when my life needed to intersect with it."

The song was co-written with the late Busbee - a beloved producer who passed away from a brain tumor in 2019 - making its chart success feel even more meaningful. At the We Love Christian Music Awards in March, "Let It Be A Hallelujah" won Worship Song of the Year, with Daigle reflecting: "We wrote that song 7 years ago, so to have it be honored coming out of the vault like this is really special."

Now, fans are watching her studio social posts closely. The decorated songstress has been teasing snaps from the studio across her social platforms, whetting the appetite of listeners eager to hear her follow-up to 2023's self-titled effort. A new Lauren Daigle album is clearly on the way - and if "Let It Be A Hallelujah" is any indication of where she's headed spiritually and sonically, it's going to be worth the wait.

She's also just been added to the Summer Concerts lineup at Lake Tahoe on July 25, with tickets going on sale this past Friday - another sign that Daigle is stepping fully back into the spotlight in 2026.

For a Christian music world that needs voices of genuine faith and staying power, Lauren Daigle continues to deliver. A song hidden in a Dropbox for nearly a decade is now sitting at #1. That's not a coincidence. That's a God story.
